Happy New Year!
We hope you all have had a relaxing and wonderful holiday season. We wanted to contact you all with some updates on what is new with EGST. First & foremost we have chosen our show for next summer and will be performing “Annie Warbucks”. This is a continuation of the ever popular “Annie”, and picks up where Annie leaves off, with what happens to Daddy Warbucks once he adopts Annie. It is a fun, lively musical with many more interesting roles for both children and young adults. The show travels from Warbucks mansion, to a poor farmhouse in Tennessee, to Washington D.C., and back to NYC. Our show dates will be July 20, 21, & 22 this year. We are happy to announce, Eric Hutchinson will be back as our director again this summer. We will be holding auditions in late April and will contact you all with exact dates & times, asap.
We also wanted to announce our plans for another “Tea Party”. This fund-raiser turned out to be a lovely afternoon “High Tea” last Spring. This year it will be February 11th at the East Granby Congregational Church. There will be two seatings, at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. The cost will be $15 per person, which includes: scones, home made soup, finger sandwiches, delectable desserts and your choice of a variety of teas. This time we will be having a tea cup raffle at each of the seatings with some fun gift items available. We would love if you could attend and are also looking for some volunteers to help serve the food. Last year, we had cast members who were our servers and would be thrilled if any of you were willing to do so again.
At last year’s tea, we also had vendors set up selling their products to make it an afternoon of shopping as well. Once more, we are looking for any vendors who would be willing to donate a percentage of their profit toward our non-profit organization. Last year our vendors included: Silapada Jewelry, Longerberger Baskets, and Tastefully Simple.
